The JZNC-XPP02BN is a teach programming pendant manufactured by YASKAWA. It is specifically designed for the XRC 2001 32BIT MOTOMAN robot, providing users with a convenient and intuitive control interface. These products are manufactured in Japan and are designed for Advanced manufacturing, milling, and factory automation usage. They come with a 2-year warranty from MRO Electric. We also carry Teach Pendants from other manufacturers such as Schneider Electric and KUKA.
The pendant features a range of multi-purpose keys that adapt to different screens and functionalities. Each key is labeled with a specific function, which is activated only when the corresponding screen is active. In other cases, the keys assume their alphanumeric values, allowing users to input data or navigate through menus.
Function keys play a crucial role in accessing specific functions from each screen. The bottom line of each screen displays the available options, which correspond to the function keys. For instance, on the Main Menu screen, pressing the F1 key selects the application option, enabling users to navigate further.
The axis keys are used for robot movement and are functional only from the Manual Menu screen. They allow users to control the robot's motion by moving it manually. The response of the axis keys depends on the robot motion settings, which can be customized for different applications.
Motion keys, also available on the Manual Menu screen, serve specific functions related to robot motion. The GRIP key is used to open and close the gripper, while the HOME key moves each axis of the robot to a known reference point. The READY key positions the robot to the ready state, while the MOVE key allows the robot to move to a selected location variable.
Array keys are employed to select elements within variable arrays. They provide quick navigation through array elements, including options to select the first or last element, increment or decrement the current array index, and perform other related actions.
The pendant also includes data entry keys, which consist of alphanumeric and numeric keys. Alphanumeric keys enable users to input variable or application names and utilize the Quick Find utility to locate existing variables or applications quickly. Numeric keys are used to select specific array elements or specify the size of an array during creation. Shift keys are primarily used to display the error log when pressed in combination with the F1 key.
Safety features are integrated into the pendant to ensure secure operation. It includes a live-man switch located on the right side of the pendant chassis. When gently depressed, the switch enables motion control, allowing users to move the robot. Releasing the switch or applying excessive force moves it into one of the two Motion Disabled positions, immediately disengaging the arm power and stopping the robot to prevent accidents.
Additionally, an emergency stop (e-stop) button is incorporated into the pendant as a fail-safe mechanism. Activating the e-stop button disables the arm power and stops the robot abruptly. To reactivate the arm power, the e-stop switch must be reset by turning it clockwise until it clicks and pops up.
The pendant operates through a series of layered screens, each displaying a title, messages, and menu items. Users can navigate through the screens using the function keys and the Esc key, which allows them to move upwards through the menu screens or access the Terminate Pendant screen to end the pendant operation.
In summary, the JZNC-XPP02BN teach programming pendant manufactured by YASKAWA is a versatile and user-friendly control device. Its multi-purpose keys, intuitive interface, and safety features make it an essential tool for programming and controlling the XRC 2001 MOTOMAN robot.
