The Modicon-800-Series -IO-Module, AS-B875-111 with-Unity-Pro is a quality unit manufactured by Schneider Electric, a trusted name in industrial products. It is an input module that provides analog to digital (A/D) interfacing and it also provides data that is taken as input voltage and converted into binary data. The Modicon B875 can also take input current ranges and convert that into binary data as well. It can be configured with sixteen single ended inputs. Features

You choose input voltage ranges selected from the five available. The ranges are listed below.

0 to 5 V, 1 to 5 V, --5 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V, and -10 to 10 V

The input current ranges are also able to be selected. What are the choices for input current ranges available to you? The three input current ranges are as follows:

0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, and -20 to +20 mA

You have choices when it comes to output formats with this unit. Available for you to choose from on the Modicon AS-875-111 are four output formats. 

On the two DIP switches that are on the module configuration switch, you will be able to choose one of the four output formats. By using the switch, you can decide on which of the four formats which are: standard, elevated, full resolution, and decimal. Using these DIP switches on the module configuration switch you have input choices that will be averaged to give you each output. You can choose no averaging, or eight, sixteen, or thirty-two sample inputs to be averaged.

Do you need a module that is capable of updating channels every 10-20 msecs? This unit has eight/sixteen analog inputs which allow the channel to update quickly. The more than 12-bit resolution gives accurate control. You will get a control that is exact with complete accuracy of 0.1% at 0—60° C.

The factory standard output format is 1—5 V range with 0— 4095. The module can be configured and reset with a switch and the five-position IDP switch, again this is depending on your individual application requirements before it is installed.

Switch 1 is used for the input range function for bipolar (10 V, 5 V 20 mA): SW1=L and for unipolar (0—10 V, 0—5 V, 0—20 mA, 1—5 V, 4—20 mA): SW1=R. Switch two is used for input range functions for offset (1—5 V or 4—20 mA): SW2=R or for no offset (All other Ranges): SW2=L.
