The Siemens SIMATIC HMI KTP900 6AV2125-2JB03-0AX0 is a mobile panel designed to give you unwavering access to your production processes through direct mobile operation and monitoring. 

It is expertly constructed with optimizing your industrial applications in mind.  You can use this unit in a mounted position or a stationary position.  The third option for use available with this unit is that you can use it while holding it right on your forearm.  From the forearm position, you have the ability to operate all of the panel controls you normally would on the front panel display.  This basic panel features a 9” display.  As a safety precaution, you should always use the HMI panel on your forearm when you are working with potentially dangerous movements.   You can use it with your hands if you are doing simple tasks such as data entry and you are not controlling movements that could be considered dangerous. 

The 6AV2125-2JB03-0AX0 mobile panel comes equipped with 10 function keys and 2 illuminated pushbutton keys.  This panel is designed for use in an industrial setting and comes designed for the most rugged industrial settings.  Being in the highest protection class, it is designed to resist impact.  A safety feature you will find put in place is two bumpers placed for protection from unintended falls that may accidentally occur to your HMI device.

It is also designed to resist industrial operating and cleaning substances. The active display area of the 6AV2125-2JB03-0AX0 is 154.1 x 85.9 mm with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, widescreen.  The color depth is 16-bit, 24-bit.  You can control the brightness of the unit by software. The backlighting is LED.  The input for this device is a touch screen and analog resistive.  It has a data memory of 512 MB and a program memory of 1024 MB. 

What interfaces will you encounter with this module?  It has two different interfaces. The first one is ethernet RJ45 with 10/100 Mbps and the second one is USB 2.0.  The power supply via the connection box has a rated voltage of +24 V DC with the permitted voltage range of 19.2…28.8 V (24 V± 20%). 

The maximum permitted transients are 35 V (500 ms) and the time between two transients is ≥ 50 s.  The bypass time after the HMI device has been disconnected from the connection box is a full 5 minutes.  There is a two-minute charging time on the connection box until the bypass period is guaranteed.
